Expanding system for a diverse patient group

We have a rich cultural diversity with over 47 nationalities represented in our nursing and midwifery workforce.
This is ideal to care for the diverse patient groups we look after every day.
Our aim is to offer high quality standardized care across our growing organization and we promote continuing professional development for our teams across the corporation.

As the largest healthcare provider in Qatar, HMC sees a wide range of patients with all types of health issues experienced by large healthcare organizations across the world.
The diverse range of patients and levels of healthcare literacy can be challenging when trying to deliver a consistent approach to care delivery and that is why we have placed great effort on establishing system-wide processes and protocols that are evidence based.
The Qatar Early Warning System (QEWS), the National Sepsis Program, the Diabetes Program and the Heart Health Program are a few of many system-wide programs that have been established to enable a more seamless patient journey.
Working with strategic partners, supported by the Allied Health System Framework, is essential in delivering a more seamless healthcare service to patients.

Qatar has a rapidly expanding population. According to the National Census, in August 2019 there are 2.8 million people living in the country.
There are over 100 different nationalities and while Arabic is the official language of Qatar, English is spoken widely, especially in healthcare settings
The exponential population growth is a challenge for the system. While more recruitment efforts are underway, a value management approach is one of several efficiency drivers designed to deliver safer and higher quality care that is accessible for all who need it in Qatar.
